This vibrating and shaking practice with Ido Portal is a great gift. I've been researching the autonomic nervous system in relationship to movement and emotional balance. If we shock the body in order to make it "go" we are initiating the release of stress hormones, which is contradicting health and balance. There are many practices which stimulate the nervous system without jarring it. Theoretically yoga is one of these practices. Depending on how the breath is maintained while practicing and how evenly the spine is stretched, yoga has potential to be ideal at bringing us into a relaxed, focused, and alert state. I am using this movement practice with Ido Portal to connect to the sensation of stimulating the system while simultaneously relaxing and releasing. It is important for us to have an awareness of what balanced effort feels like for our body. Each person will have a unique journey to experience this state.
